Overview

M Brothers Family Restaurant, nestled on Auburn Road in the vibrant heart of Auburn, NSW, offers a genuine taste of Turkish cuisine that resonates with both locals and visitors. This establishment strikes a balance between traditional flavors and a welcoming environment, making it an ideal spot for families and food enthusiasts seeking authentic Turkish fare.

The menu is a rich tapestry of classic dishes, with standout options like the Mix Shish Plate, Iskender, and the ever-popular Adana Plate served fresh off the charcoal grill. The display of charcoal cooking at the front adds not only a visual appeal but also promises that the meat is prepared with care and attention to authentic methods. For those with a penchant for Turkish-style pizzas, the M Brothers Special Pizza and BBQ Chicken Pizza combine familiar ingredients like cheese and chicken with regional flavors such as sucuk and smoky BBQ sauce.

One of the highlights that continues to draw repeat customers, as noted by longtime patrons, is the chicken burger — simple, affordable, and surprisingly flavorful. It’s a testament to the kitchen’s ability to deliver quality without unnecessary complexity. The complimentary bread, served alongside dips while waiting for the signature Adana Kebab, enhances the dining experience by introducing guests to fresh, home-baked accompaniments that reflect Turkish culinary traditions.

The restaurant’s atmosphere accommodates both dine-in and take-away options, with seating arrangements indoors and out. This flexibility suits Auburn’s climate well, encouraging patrons to enjoy their meals comfortably regardless of the season. The attentive service, led by the owner and staff who maintain a close watch on quality and customer experience, helps the place stand out in a competitive area known for diverse dining options.

While most reviews celebrate the freshness and flavor intensity of the dishes, there have been moments where quality slipped—such as reheated meat or missing sauces on some pizza varieties. However, the management’s responsiveness and the overall consistency keep diners returning.

M Brothers Family Restaurant targets families and casual diners who appreciate the depth of Turkish cuisine paired with a friendly, community-focused atmosphere. This combination of authentic food, inviting space, and genuine service makes it a noteworthy spot on Auburn Road for anyone seeking an honest culinary journey into Turkey’s rich food culture.

In a competitive environment like the main food street of Auburn (Auburn Road) - one needs to differentiate where they can. I think they do well enough to the point where I always find myself coming back. A few key points from me: - Customer service - spot on (always treated well). It's a tough gig (given the fast paced nature there) but they manage well. This was clear when you see the owner / manager come by and also make sure the food items are up to standard. - Display up front: whether you want a quick snack (pide or pizza) (definitely handy if I want a quick feed); - Display of charcoal cooking: Or if you have time to dine in, watch your Adana cooked up front; - My standout is the chicken burger for $8 (used to be $6 but of course everybody has been impact by inflation lately) and the taste at that price point is 5/5. I've had more expensive burgers in this suburb and elsewhere - but pound for pound - this is my go to burger. - they have dine in options both inside and outside too (definitely handy on the warmer days and the cooler nights). It's a place that should have more recognition that it currently has. Definitely give them a go. Further Edit: Just had their Adana Kebab - great stuff - loved it. We were served the dips with bread whilst it was being made and within 10 minutes or so the Adana came. Well done guys (I now know two good places in Auburn which produce good Adana and have excellent service).

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I normally don’t leave reviews, but the food here was so delicious and freshly made that I had to! A great place for families with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff have excellent customer service skills, and the dishes were well-cooked, full of flavour, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Turkish food.

Ordered Chicken Pide, Deal 2 containing- 2 x large pizza, 1.25l coke & French fries. Chicken pde was super fresh and meat was soft and properly cooked. French fries were warm not really hot but was'nt soggy and were okay on palate. However, I ordered Peri peri & bbq pizzas and both did not has sauces on them. Pizza base, cheese and meat was great and tasted good. However, When I am paying 60$ for deal, I would like to get the sauces on top of the pizza which were missing on both family pizzas. The owner was generous to give their home made chilli and additional sauce for pide. I am leaving four star ratings at this stage and hope that specified pizza should have the peri peri or bbq sauce as that was the only drawback.

I’ve been coming to M Brothers Kebabs once a month for years, and the meat has always been the highlight—fresh, thinly sliced, and full of flavour. But this visit was a real letdown. I arrived at 12:45 pm, during lunch, but the place wasn’t busy. I dined in and expected the same quality I’ve always enjoyed. Instead, what I got was dry, thick-cut, reheated meat that tasted like cardboard. It was clear it had been sitting there for a long time before being served. The usual tenderness and juiciness were completely missing. The saving grace was the bread, rice, and sauce, which were still good, and the staff were friendly as usual. The portion size was fine, but the meat was so disappointing that I couldn’t even finish my kebab—something that has never happened before. I’d normally rate this place highly, but this time, it’s a 5/10. I really hope this was just an off day and not a sign of a drop in quality. If this happens again, I might have to find another kebab spot.
